LARRY FLYNT'S HUSTLERWORLD

After spending a half hour learning the difference between EAST 1st St. and WEST 1st St. in Downtown Los Angeles, HustlerWorld arrived on the set of the tentatively named "Alpha 15: Big Sister and the Trial of Emily Labore." A VCA and Eroticist Films feature, "Alpha 15" is Cat Purcel's first foray into the world of adult filmmaking.

When asked how her first day of shooting was going, she answered like a true veteran. "Fake it 'til ya make it."

Judging by what I saw and what the cast had to say about her, perhaps she was being a bit modest.

"We're so excited to work with Cat." Hustler Video's marketing manager, Kristin Spillers, told us. "She's new to the adult industry and she can't wait to make hot hardcore porn that isn't cookie cutter."

"We wanted to make an all chick flick," Cat explained. "I want people to see that it's OK to experience their fantasies."

We were too busy watching the sex to find out what exactly those fantasies involve, but thankfully, the film's star, Justine Jolie, was there to fill us in. "The premise is that I'm a prude and Alpha 15 is the penal colony I'm sent to." she explained, "They're trying to rid the world of prudes."

Ahh…turning the quiet, shy type into a raving, sex goddess. One of our personal favorites.

We were surprised that this echoes Ms. Jolie's own experience with her sexuality. " The character is like me when I was 19. Incredibly insecure, incredibly shy, introverted. I was terrified to talk to men. Terrified to talk to women." she said, " I went from being a Bible-thumping Christian to a lesbian queen of porn." (Editor's note: This happens to be a career move we approve of and encourage).

Ron Royster, director of Atomic Vixens and producer for Alpha 15, was on hand that day. " [We're] all about launching some boats. Every one of my movies we have a guest director. For this one it's going to be Hollie Stevens." Unfortunately, Hollie wasn't shooting that day so were weren't able to see her work firsthand. But, if Hollie can bring the same enthusiasm to directing she showed performing in Barely Legal On Vacation and Real College Girls, we'll be looking forward to the finished project.

"Porn's a billion-dollar industry," Ms. Purcel offered, "and it's going to be there one way of the other, we might as well as have feminists in it."

While some may find such a female-centric approach to porn counter to what's expected from HUSTLER, fear not. "I want porn to be hardcore," Cat affirmed, "but still hot."

"It's going to be an amazing movie," Justine Jolie told us, "[Cat] knows where she's heading and I'm just anxious to see how it comes together."

So are we.
