When asked how it felt to share such personal details in this pioneering pornobiography, Profane said, "I'll put it like this… A lot of things seem like a good idea at the time. It wasn't until we were shooting the last scene that I had second thoughts. It was very personal. I saw people reenacting moments of my life and that was really uncomfortable but ultimately it was very rewarding and therapeutic."

The gorgeous Barbed Wire Kiss cast including Amber Rayne, Caroline Pierce, Veronica Jett, Dominica Leoni, Adrianna Nicole and introducing Zak Sabbath took an indie approach to making a dirty movie. Said Profane, "I was approached a year earlier by VCA to make this movie but it didn't shoot until months later. As we had prep time, everyone brought their 'A' game to this production."

Profane raved about his cast saying, "Barbed Wire Kiss has the hottest girls and they're all real. No silicon. No fakeness. These are really awesome girls who look this beautiful all the time."

Newcomer Zak Sabbath, whose art appears in the film, brought a refreshing excitement to the movie, filming his first adult scene ever. Said Profane, "Sabbath came out to LA, nailed it on his first try, and has been great ever since."
