Most standup comedy is just plain painful to listen to. With a few exceptions—Patton Oswald, David Cross, Buckminster Fuller, amonst others— we'd rather hear the continuous tone of a heart monitor hooked up to our own mother as she takes her last breath¹ than sit through a set by a so-called edgy comic.

But thank Jeebus for Vivid! A porn star-hosted comedy night is the cure for a chronic case of not-fucking-funnyitis. All they need to do now is provide us with some earplugs and we'll make our way out to the Irvine Improv next Wednesday.

Vivid Entertainment, presents its fourth Southern California Vivid Comedy Night, this time starring four of the top performers in the industry, Vivid Girls Monique Alexander, Cassidey, Sunny Leone and Stefani Morgan. The event takes place on Wednesday, June 28th starting at 9 pm and will be taped for a future reality TV show based on the making of an upcoming Vivid film, Debbie Does Dallas...Again.

The first three Vivid Comedy Night events were held at The Hollywood Improv, but the June 28th event is moving a few miles south and will be held at the Irvine Improv.

Stefani Morgan, who was a popular mainstream model before joining Vivid last year, said "I had so much fun hosting the first Vivid Comedy Night in Hollywood. I'm really looking forward to working on another event because it's great to interact with the comedians and to see the audience having such a good time." Her co-hosts in Irvine include former Penthouse Pet of the Year (Leone), the star of the current hit movie To Die For (Alexander) and a gorgeous green-eyed brunette who recently returned to adult performing at Vivid (Cassidey).

The comedian stars who are set to provide an evening of edgy fun are Daniel Tosh (The Tonight Show with Jay Leno), Bert Kreischer (Rolling Stones' "#1 Partier in the Nation"), Sam Tripoli (The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson), The Greg Wilson (E! and VH1), and Matt Fulchiron (Last Comic Standing).

In addition to the non-stop comedy, audience members will receive a special gift courtesy of Vivid. Tickets are now on sale for $15 each and can be purchased through the Irvine Improv website or by calling 949-854-5455.
